Measure the card. Then decide.
Grading a single card costs between $17 and $80 and takes months. Slabmint measures the card on your iPhone first, so you only send the ones worth sending.
What it measures
Numbers, not guesses
Photograph the card. Slabmint flattens the photo, finds the printed border and measures how far off centre it sits — then checks every edge and corner for whitening.
| Measurement | Example |
|---|---|
| Front centering, left / right | 52 / 48 |
| Front centering, top / bottom | 49 / 51 |
| Back centering | 53 / 47 |
| Edge & corner whitening | Clean |
Everything runs on the phone. Photographs never leave the device.
Against five scales
Five grading companies, side by side
The same card is measured against the published centering tolerances of PSA, Beckett, CGC, SGC and TAG, so you can see which company suits the card in your hand.
A card that misses a 10 by two percentage points is a different decision from one that misses by ten.
The decision
Submit, or keep it raw
Slabmint holds the current fee tiers for each company and compares the expected return against the cost of grading and shipping. It tells you the gem rate you need to break even, and where your card actually sits.
Cards worth sending can be grouped into a submission, with the total cost and expected return for the batch.
